It's been a long while since I read through this series, but I loved each one. Jack is actually a woman detective. Her partner is Herb, who is an over-eater, but such a lovable character. I laughed so much throughout this series it was crazy! Harry McGlade is a PI that, although, Jack hates, and I do mean hates to have to communicate with, turns out to be a valuable asset in many of these novels, if not all.
Jack and Herb investigate serial murders, cold-blooded killers, and they get hunted themselves at a point in the series. Alex is a woman that is after Jack, but that comes up later, but this lady is relentless, but with Herb and Harry, Jack comes out on top. Harry is rich, and buys so many cool gadgets to use in investigations, and he had a perverse personality, which only made for more laughs.
Jack ends up meeting a felon, Nick, who she at first just thinks about, but then he becomes important later on in helping Jack with some serious bad guys. Jack can kick some ass when need be, and Nick is just as much of a badass! Jack also teams up with a PI named Leah in one book. Leah is a repo woman. She went to Chicago to repo a car. Harry was in on this one, and he helped make it hilarious! I love to read about him and his gadgets, and his bad jokes, and how he is always wanting to get Jack in bed, but she does NOT want to bed up with Harry.
There's books not listed in the pic above, like Straight UP, Jacked UP, Planter's Punch, With A Twist, and Lady 52, Truck Stop, and Floaters. plus a couple of books with a lot of short stories.
Konrath is a great writer. He puts a great mystery in place, then surrounds it with characters you won't forget, adds laugh out loud humor, and Jack gets her guy.

As far as Flee, Spree, and Three are concerned, I also read all 3. I loved them too. I feel that if I go into each story I blog about I'll be on here for hours. But, I can tell you, there's only been one book I've read by Konrath that I thought, in my opinion, was less than 5 stars, and that was a book centered around Harry McGlade. I just didn't really enjoy it.
Anyway, the 3 above are about 3 sisters who formed a gov't group called Hydra. Now, in the beginning they didn't know they were sisters, but found out later, and they started working together. They were part of 7 trained killers, sisters, but some died off before the first book. Yea, that sounds strange, but it doesn't when you start reading, and the story is giving you the history of the group. The "instructor" is a bad dude, and he's out to no good. However, it's up in your reading you will find out about him. Fleming was Chandler's "handler", her sister, but Chandler didn't know that right off, and Hammett is another sis, but she's a bad seed, and they find out as the story goes along.
There's a president who the "instructor" was actually out to kill because he wanted the VP to become president. But Chandler interrupts the plan. The ebola virus is being used to take out a large amount of the population, unless the sister's can foil that plan.
Jack Daniels, Tequila, and Harry McGlade make what I call cameo appearances in these books, which I really appreciate.
I can tell you Fleming is in a wheelchair, but she is a woman you just don't wanna mess with. Yea, her sisters are the same..trained killer, but think about it; in a wheelchair and still deadly. Her wheelchair is suped up too. I love these books as well...there's not the amount of humor as in the JD series, but these were meant to be more serious, and I hope Konrath continues on with the series as well as JD series, because he has a fan for life!
